The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis || Book review

“Awake. Love. Think. Speak. Be walking trees. Be talking beasts. Be divine waters.”

The first book in the series ‘Chronicles of Narnia’.( Fun Fact : did you know most people think ‘The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe of the First book of the series, HecK even I didn't know that. You could skip the book but if you do read it you will get full knowledge about the new world) The book records the first entry from earth to and  founding the magical land of Narnia.

“All get what they want; they do not always like it.”

Rating:⭐⭐⭐🧙🏼‍♀️

Plot: Diggory and his friend/neighbor Polly while exploring their ‘roof tunnels’ stumble upon his mysterious and Grumpy Uncle’s study. They are forced to enter a new magical realm for an experiment conducted by Uncle Andrew. They find a ‘Wood between Worlds’ , wake up an evil sorceress who seeks to enslave earth and encounter the formation of a new World and meet its creator Alsan(Lion).

“No great wisdom can be reached without sacrifice.”

Writing: The writing did not essentially capture my heart. It was good but not good enough for me. I think that is a problem with old books, it greatly differs from new ones in terms of writing, vocabulary, description, etc… But you can’t really blame anyone.

Humor; The was this tiny bits of humor that gives good laughs

Characters: For some reason I feel there are very little characters and we don’t even get know the existing ones deeply

“For what you see and hear depends a good deal on where you are standing: it also depends on what sort of person you are.”

A Magical read.
